Prof. McKenna's research interests include the development and application of computer vision, pattern recognition and
machine learning methods in domains such as intelligent human-computer interaction, content-based image browsing, medicine,
biology, monitoring and surveillance. He co-authored the book
Dynamic Vision and has published approximately 100 articles.
He is an Associate Editor for the journals Machine Vision and Applications
and
