Computer Vision and Image Processing

The Computer Vision and Image Processing (CVIP) group carries out research on image and video analysis. Its portfolio of applications spans medical image analysis, the life sciences, image browsing, human identification and activity recognition. The group has hosted and chaired the British Machine Vision Conference (BMVC) and the Medical Image Understanding and Analysis conference (MIUA). CVIP has been funded from sources including UK research councils, the Technology Strategy Board, the Chief Scientist Office, the Leverhulme Trust, industry, and the EU.
