Fees for 2009/10

The tuition fee for the M.Sc./Diploma courses for 2009/10 is £10500 for non-E.U. students. The fee for E.U. stduents is not yet available but will be similar to those for 2008/09, that is £3235. Financial Support from SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland)

Students from Scotland and from other E.U. or E.E.A. countries may be eligible for financial assistance with fees and/or maintenance from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland. Application forms, and information on the grants available and on eligibility, can be found on their website.

Students wishing to apply for these awards need to be nominated by the University. If you think you are eligible for SAAS funding, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can nominate you for an award. Note that even if you are making a very late application, it is still worth checking if awards are still available.

Overseas Student Scholarships

Students paying full overseas student fees are eligible to apply for the University's Overseas Student Scholarships, giving a £2000 reduction in the fee.

Saltire Scholarships

Students from India and China may be eligible for scholarships from the British Council's Saltire Scholarship Programme, which cover tuition fees, return economy airfare and living allowance. (The closing date for applications for 2009/10 is 12 June 2009.)

Bursaries

There are many sources of bursaries available to students studying Computing degrees.

Career Development Loans

Another possible source of finance is the Career Development Loan scheme run by the government in association with several banks. Information on these can be obtained from the CDL website.
