About Me

Research

I am a Research Assistant in the Healthcare Computing Group in the School of Computing (University of Dundee). I am working towards my part time PhD which will be completed in 2012. The PhD topic is "The effect of credibility on health related interventions effectiveness". I have worked on a diverse range of projects including:

  • SCIP(ppt): Longitudinal recording of doctor-patient (GP) consultations. Including an expansion to supporting automatic start/stop and meta data collection by interacting with GP clinical software
  • FABRIC: Developing an iOS program to view large image dataset on a small screen
  • Motivating Mobility: Designing and developing a rehabilitation aid for hemiplegic stroke victims with reduced upper limb function

Interest

I enjoy games programming and have written an Android game called Space Squad. A review of this game by Play Android can be found at http://www.playandroid.com/blog/quick-android-game-review-space-squad/ .

The game itself is free to download from the Android Market

In my spare time I play bass guitar and am in local band. I enjoy competitive multiplayer gaming. I enjoy regular exercise in the campus swimming pool and night club dancing.
