The table below gives details of our events for this year. Information about times, courses and entry fees is provided where available. This list will updated through the year as more events are confirmed, so keep checking back for more information.

Pre Tay 2009 Training events in July - more details

At The Hermitage, by Dunkeld, there are two club training sessions, the first on Sunday 26th July, from 10.00am to 12.00 and the second on Tuesday 28th July from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. There is a recommended TD5 and TD4 course. Basic guidance will be provided, but no special exercises. The 20 controls that are out in the forest (from July 26th) are the same as those included in the training pack, which can be purchased at the Perth Tourist Information if you can't make these days. For the TAY training sessions, an easier option will be provided as well.

If you would like to take advantage of professional coaching, then come along on Friday 31st July between 11.00am and 3.00pm. The coaching is aimed at TD4 - TD5 standard.

At Pitmedden, above Abernethy, 16 controls will be out in the forest from July 27th. These will be TD4 to TD5 standard. A training pack can be purchased from the Perth Tourist Information.

Scottish Orienteering League 2009

The Scottish Orienteering League (SOL) - Seven league events are held each year, with a competitor's best four results to count. The winner of each race earns 1000 points, with everyone else earning points based on their time as a percentage of the winner's time.
