Tayside Orienteers Local and Training Events 2006

Tayside Orienteers are holding another series of 'Come And Try it' orienteering events. These are suitable for anyone new to the orienteering, although all club members and other orienteers are welcome to attend!

This year we have a series of Tuesday evening events, and a separate series of Sunday morning events.

Entries
Just turn up on the day - no need to pre-enter.
Entry Fees
For Tuesday events: Adults £2, Juniors £1.
For Sunday events: Adults £4, Juniors £2.
Equipment
Footwear - trainers, running or walking shoes are best. Bring a clear poly bag and pen for your map, and a compass if you have one.
Help
Tayside Orienteers club members will be on hand to help you get started or answer any questions you may have.

Courses available:

Each event will offer a range of courses, varying in length and difficulty in terms of navigation:

Tuesday evening events
White (1-1.5km, very easy), Orange-Light Green (2.5-3.5km, easy), Green (4-5km, moderate to difficult)
Sunday morning events
White (1-1.5km, very easy), Orange (2-3km, easy), Green (4-5km, moderate to difficult), Blue (6-7.5km, difficult)

Tuesday 12th SeptemberPerth Parks, PerthUPDATED! Starts from 1745 - 1815Rodney Fitness Centre car park Location on Streetmap.co.uk Quiz/Street Orienteering event. Showers will be available at Rodney Pavilion - just go in and pay £1 at the desk. Join us afterwards for a meal at the Isle of Skye carvery for 7.45pm - at registration, please tell organiser Felicity Martin if you would like to have a meal. Main courses (including non carvery options) are £6.45 and starters range from £2 to £3.50.
