Welcome to Araucaria v2.0 The installation process with version 2.0 of Araucaria should automatically detect your computer and operating system, and install the appropriate version of Java and the Araucaria system files. If you wish to use a version of Java that you have already installed on your machine, the installation process will allow you to do this, but note that Araucaria 2.0 requires Java 1.4.1 or greater (notice that 1.4.0 is not sufficient). Araucaria has been developed as free software by Glenn Rowe and Chris Reed, at the Division of Applied Computing in the University of Dundee.
