Research-Teaching Linkages: Enhancing Graduate Attributes

Research-Teaching Linkages

Enhancing graduate attributes in Information and Mathematical Sciences

This project produced a report for the Quality Enhancement Theme of Research-Teaching Linkages examining the experience of academic staff and students within the Information and Mathematical Sciences subject areas. Experiences of staff and students have been summarised in the form of case studies of current practice that demonstrate how the student experience and graduate attributes can be enhanced by activities that link research and teaching.

Key findings from the investigation were drawn from the questionnaire responses, surveys, published literature, workshops, case studies and interviews. Three themes were identified, and we make six recommendations.

A dissemination workshop will be held in Dundee on 29th April 2009, for more details and booking please see the Higher Education Academy Information & Computer Sciences Events.
