Rosine Eisma's Presentation - Powerpoint Slides (2.2MB)
Once you are aware of the need to develop usable products it can be a daunting prospect to actually start involving older people. In this talk Rosine will stress the importance of user involvement in the early stages of product development, and talk you through the steps of setting up a panel of older users. Various forms of interaction are discussed, and tips for effective involvement are given.
Some of the topics covered include:
- Where do I find older people?
- What is the role of older people in the development process?
- How can you talk about technology with people that have very limited experience with technology?
- Is working with older people different from working with other users?
- Where can I find more help?
