Half an hour of enjoyable, practical and experiential checking out of participants presentation skills and any necessary modifications when working with groups of older people.
Maggie Morgan - biography
Maggie was founder director of the Foxtrot Theatre Company which has earned an excellent reputation throughout the UK. Maggie has worked extensively in educational and training situations, particularly employing interactive theatre. Recent work with older people includes:
- Touring residential homes and day centres in Tayside and Fife with a show for older people with interactive music and theatre
- Touring Scottish venues in Age Concern Scotland project "Breaking the Silence", interactive theatre focussing on the abuse of elderly people
- Playing to audiences of older people
- Working closely with the Applied Computing Dept, writing and producing short pieces of video, to facilitate consultation with groups of older people
- Collaborating with the UTOPIA group in Applied Computing to make a series of videos to demonstrate the group's findings in their research into older people's relationship and use of new technology. (NB: These can be viewed during this day conference)
