About the Network
The Network was started in April 2008 as part of an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) grant. It comprises of leading researchers in the UK. The goal of the Network is to identify challenges of older and disabled people within the Digital Economy and to outline research needed to address these challenges.
The Principal Investigator for the grant was Prof Alan Newell (University of Dundee) with the Co-Principal Investigators Dr Petros Iosifidis (City University London) and Prof Vicki Hanson (University of Dundee).
This work builds on earlier research such as the Usable Technology for Older People: Inclusive and Appropriate (UTOPIA) project.
