BMVC 2011
The 22nd British Machine Vision Conference
University of Dundee, 29 August - 2 September 2011
|
Registration is now open. To register for BMVC, you should complete the form and arrange payment via the
registration site.
The registration fee includes access to all conference sessions, conference materials (including a book of extended abstracts and the full electronic proceedings), tea/coffee refreshments, lunches, and the reception at Discovery Point. You can also opt to include tutorial attendance (free for students) and the conference dinner at the West Park. Please note that the dinner is limited to 170 delegates. Dinner and reception tickets for non-delegates cannot be purchased in advance of the conference. If there are spare tickets, these will be available for purchase at the conference.
Registration can be either residential or non-residential. Traditionally, most BMVC attendees choose the residential option as it is represents good value for money and makes for a better conference experience. Residential registration includes ensuite bed-and-breakfast accommodation in private rooms at the West Park for up to four nights (29 August to 2 September). We have reserved 200 rooms at the West Park. If you require a room at West Park outside these dates, please contact Siobhan Laing at West Park directly by emailing Siobhan.Laing at sanctuary-housing dot co dot uk.
Payment can be made by credit card, debit card, bank transfer or cheque via the registration site.
Registration fees are as follows.

Until 31 July: |
Residential £460 |
Non-residential £400 |
|
From 1 August: |
Residential £520 |
Non-residential £460 |
Additional costs are:
|
Conference dinner: £30 |
|

The post-conference student workshop is free for BMVC delegates (although priority will be given to students if demand exceeds the number of workshop places available). Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to attend the tutorial and/or the workshop.
Coach transfers between the accommodation at West Park and the conference sessions at the Dalhousie Building will be provided free of charge to delegates. However, some delegates may prefer to make the 15-20 minute walk.
We are also arranging coach transfers for a limited number of delegates using Edinburgh airport. These will be free to delegates (thanks to funding from Dundee City Council). For further details or to book please see the Travel page.
If you are a PhD student and you are presenting a paper at BMVC 2011, you are eligible to apply for a bursary to help cover the costs of your attendance. The deadline for bursary applications is 31 July 2011. In the event that not all bursaries are allocated by this date a second deadline will be added. If you wish to be considered for a bursary, please indicate this on the registration form and arrange for your supervisor to send a supporting email to bmvc2011 at computing dot dundee dot ac dot uk. We will base our decision on the letter of support and the ranking of your paper.
If you do not take the arranged accommodation at West Park, here are some of the other accommodation options.
