- Arnte Maaso's site contains a number of useful sound-related links.
- International Conference for Auditory Display (ICAD) - this is where the majority of auditory interface research goes on. A very useful resource!
- FilmSound - a huge collection of materials related to sound in the cinema.
- GameSound - A website dedicated to academic studies of game audio.
- The Aesthetic Experience of Sound - staging of Auditory Spaces in 3D computer games - an interesting overview of the use of sound in Half Life 2
- AudioGANG - A members-only resource for aspiring computer game sound designers and composers.
- The Guide to Sound Effects by David Filskov - Some ideas on how to be creative when creating sound effects. Don't read while eating your dinner!
- The FREESOUND Project - A Flickr-esque resource for sounds, all licensed under Creative Commons.
- Design Sounds - A nice overview of sound design (based upon an exhibition in Sweden)
- The Multimodal Interaction Group at the University of Glasgow - lots of interesting sound/haptic/tactile stuff here (and a nice bunch of people as well)
