Darwin

It has always been believed that Charles Darwin (1809-1882) based the theory of evolution on observations of inter- and intra-specific variation he made during his voyage on the research ship Beagle (1831 36). However the application of BI (Business Intelligence) techniques to data that was available to Darwin in the 1820s has considerably enhanced our understanding of how Darwin developed his theory.

This ongoing research work is part of a joint venture with the University of Cambridge.
