The ªREAD Project - Providing Physically Disabled Children with Access to Manipulate Synthetic Phonetics

The ªREAD Project proposes to develop a prototype system which provides physically disabled learners with switch access to phonetic literacy items on a screen. The prototype will simulate the activities within the synthetic phonetics programme run by the ªREAD project within the Dundee City Education Department so that disabled learners will be able to participate alongside their peers. The prototype, to be called ªREAD, will be evaluated with a number of learners in Dundee
