Scholarships for School of Computing students in 2012/13
Armistead and Laing Scholarships
These scholarships are available to undergraduate students in their entrant year of study.
Academic Excellence
One award for an entrant undergraduate student with an academically excellent record.
Women in Computing
One award for a female entrant undergraduate student.
Financial Support
One award for a student in need of financial support, eg for childcare.
Tayside and Fife Schools award
One award for a student who went to school in Tayside or Fife.
The above four scholarships are for students entering any School of Computing undergraduate degree (BSc or BEng). Applications must be made on paper, using the official form and you must also send in a sealed reference from someone who can support your case. For full details, download the application pack.
The deadline for all applications is 13th April 2012. All applicants must be liable for Home/EU fees, and will be awarded for your first year of study with us. You must be holding a firm offer (CF or UF) by the application deadline. The awards can be made in cash or in the form of equipment.
Alan Newell and Mark Grossi Scholarships
There are two named scholarships for 50% of full fee, i.e. the total scholarship offered from the full international fees should be £5,512. These are the Alan Newell scholarship and the Mark Grossi scholarship. Applications should be made to the Dean of the School of Computing, who will decide who the recipients will be for 2012/13 session. Your application should set out your case for being awarded the scholarship, based on academic merit.
These scholarships are available to International students studying for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and are awarded for one year (students studying for more than one year may apply for a further scholarship).
School of Computing Scholarships
There will be School of Computing scholarships for £5,000, based on academic merit. The total scholarship offered from the full international fees will be £5,000.

School of Computing family scholarship
There will be School of Computing family scholarships for 20% of tuition fee (mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, spouse, partner of current student or graduate of School of Computing). Contact international@dundee.ac.uk stating the name of the current student or graduate, and your relationship to them.
These scholarships are available to Home/EU and International students studying for postgraduate degrees, and are awarded for one year (students studying for more than one year may apply for a further scholarship).
School of Computing Alumni scholarship
There will be School of Computing Alumni scholarships of 20% of tuition fee for postgraduate programmes. These scholarships are open to graduates of the School of Computing. Contact international@dundee.ac.uk stating your current student ID number.

Please note that in all cases the amount stated is the total scholarship available from the University of Dundee, i.e. it is not possible to combine this scholarship with other University of Dundee scholarships.
All applications for scholarships for 2012/13 must be received by 1 June 2012.
