2008 Research Assessment Exercise

The School of Computing has performed outstandingly well in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. Two thirds of our research was rated world leading or internationally excellent (4* or 3*), and our overall score means we climb to equal 29th in the UK and to fourth in Scotland, behind only Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

This is excellent news for the continuation of our research activity and it also guarantees that our students will continue to benefit from learning from people who are at the cutting edge of their field.
